All eyes on Price

via Montreal Gazette:

The day after the shot heard ’round the world – or at least throughout the province of Quebec – Carey Price remained the guy who won a Calder Cup championship, and the guy who led Canada to gold at the world junior championship. He’s the guy who’ll rebound.

What he’s not, is a rookie National Hockey League goaltender who has lost management’s or his teammates’ confidence.

“Rebounding (after a poor game) is one of his strong points,” Canadiens coach Guy Carbonneau said. “When he won the Calder Cup (with Hamilton), he didn’t win 16 in a row. Some games he struggled. But when it was time to bury a team or close a series, he did it and came back strong.
