Brunnstrom to decide soon

There could be some light at the end of the Fabian Brunnstrom tunnel.

Maple Leafs interim general manager Cliff Fletcher said yesterday the club has been told to expect an answer from the Swedish free agent no later than tomorrow regarding his NHL decision. The Leafs, Montreal Canadiens, Detroit Red Wings and Dallas Stars are in the running to land the 23-year-old forward.

“I have no real feel for it at all,” Fletcher said of where the unrestricted free agent might land. “I just know we are in the mix. The opportunity we offer probably would be the best one available to him.”
