Former Spartans back on the ice at MSU

Ryan Miller is entering his seventh season as a pro and fourth with the Sabres. He recently signed a five-year extension with the Sabres, ending speculation he might let his contract expire and test the market as an unrestricted free agent.
“This week has been challenging because it’s our first real tests five days in a row and two hours on the ice,’’ said Miller, 28, who still makes his offseason home in East Lansing. “With regimented drills, you can focus a little more – for me, on my balance….â€
