Flyers still after Shanahan

via CSNPhilly.com:

Rick Curran, the agent for Brendan Shanahan, has returned to the Philadelphia area but says no decision has been made regarding his client’s preferences to play in the NHL this season.

Curran told CSNPhilly.com on Wednesday, “Nothing is happening at the moment. There’s really not a lot I can say, one way or the other. I do expect something will happen at some point.”

The Flyers, Chicago Blackhawks and New Jersey Devils, among others, are interested in signing the former Rangers left wing. Every indication was that Shanahan would render a decision by Sunday. That was three days ago.

“I haven’t talked to Brendan since the day he was in Philadelphia,” said Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren. “I don’t know what to make it of right now. I haven’t talked to Rick since the weekend. I don’t know one way or the other where he’s leaning or who else might be involved.”
