Chris Simon returning to the Islanders tonight

via News Day:

Barring a last-second change of heart, coach Ted Nolan likely will break up the Islanders’ kid line to make room in the lineup for enforcer Chris Simon, who is eligible to return from his record 30-game NHL suspension against Tampa Bay tonight at Nassau Coliseum.

Either Jeff Tambellini or Frans Nielsen will return to Bridgeport in favor of Simon’s toughness. “If it means putting Chris Simon in the lineup to make us better, we’ll do it,” Nolan said before the Islanders played Washington last night at Verizon Center. “Teams have no fear to play against us, so, we have to have that certain element in.”
