Smyth hurt his left shoulder

via Denver Post:

Just sitting around here waiting for some official word from the Avs on Smyth’s scary injury from last night. But a person I talked to with some knowledge of the situation says Smyth’s left shoulder – not his head or neck – might be what causes him the most problems.
There is worry that the shoulder was separated. If so, that could potentially put him out for the rest of the year. If it’s dislocated, it would surely put him out for the year – just like it did to Brett Clark.
